For our upcoming Fusion event, we’ve got a treat in store! We’re thrilled to welcome Le Driadi, a fantastic duo all the way from Italy. Balfolk enthusiasts will definitely recognize Alessandro Cornio (guitar, voice, stompbox) and Alessandro Scacchi (bass) and they will play a special set.
Le Driadi brings a fresh, innovative sound, blending the poetry of Italian singer-songwriter tradition with indie-pop influences and the vibrant culture of French balfolk. They’ve already toured extensively across Europe in 2024, captivating audiences at festivals like BoomBal and playing around Belgium and Netherlands.
This special Fusion set will not only feature their dynamic neo-traditional balfolk, but also include material from Cornio, Alessandro’s other project. Get ready for a “musical forest where every note is a spell” β their concerts are a truly captivating sonic and danceable journey!

The band was only available on Saturday, so for once, we will move our Monthly Fusion social one day to Saturday 14th of June. As a treat, if the weather will allow it, we will be dancing outside behind Emma, where they have a stage for them to perform on.
ππ²πππΌπ»: co-leading by Bo and Paul:
We are going to learn the basics of co-leading and contributing as a follower into the variations that the leader starts. We will work with simple exercises and moves to give dancers more freedom without disrupting the dance.
We will work in a follower/leader dynamic and take a deeper dive into what a follower can do DURING the variation that the leader starts. We will work with leaders on anticipation, communication and how to react to this (or maybe even invite it as well).
