A welcoming and inclusive fusion-dance community.
Based in Utrecht. Open to everyone who wants to move, listen, and connect.
What is fusion dancing?
Fusion is an improvised partner dance that draws on multiple traditions — blues, tango, zouk, contact improv, west coast swing, and more. Rather than picking one style and following its rules, fusion dancers listen to the music and to each other, and let the dance emerge from what feels right in the moment.
There's no fixed vocabulary. Beginners and experienced dancers can share a dance because the focus is on connection, weight sharing, and responsive movement rather than memorised figures. Music can range from slow, ambient pieces to driving electronic tracks; the dance adapts.
Roles are not gendered. Anyone can lead, anyone can follow, and many dancers move fluidly between roles within a single dance.
Our values
Four principles guide how we run our events and how we treat each other on and off the floor.
-
Community
A safe, respectful environment where dancers contribute to a positive shared space.
-
Respect & Consent
Boundaries are honoured. Every invitation to dance, every touch, every change in connection can be negotiated and declined.
-
Inclusivity
Welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, body types, and experience levels. Roles are not gendered.
-
Fun
Self-expression, connection, and play over performance. Curiosity over correctness.
