UFuse · House Rules
The agreements we share on the dance floor.
These rules apply at all UFuse events in Utrecht. They exist so everyone can show up, dance, and feel safe — coming to a UFuse event means agreeing to them.
- 01
Consent is ongoing
You can say no to a dance, any dance, at any time, for any reason — no explanation needed. The same goes for ending a dance early or adjusting how you're dancing mid-song.
- 02
Ask before you change the connection
Closer embrace, dips, lifts, weight sharing, floor work — these need a clear "yes" first. Default to lighter, more open connection until invited otherwise.
- 03
Respect a no
A no — verbal, physical, or hesitant — is not a negotiation. Don't ask why. Don't ask again later in the same evening. Don't make it awkward.
- 04
Care for shared space
Watch out for others on the floor. Move with awareness of who is around you. If you bump into someone, check in and apologise.
- 05
Scents
Come freshly washed. Bring a change of shirt for warm rooms. Go easy on strong scents. If you spray deodorant or perfume, do it in the bathroom, not on the dance floor.
- 06
Health
If you have a contagious illness (e.g. cold, flu, stomach bug), please stay home until you're no longer contagious.
- 07
No drugs, mind alcohol
No illegal substances on the premises. If you choose to drink, stay clearly within a state where you can dance safely and consent meaningfully.
- 08
Photography
No photos or video of dancers without their explicit consent. When in doubt, ask. Organisers may share occasional photos publicly only with the consent of everyone visible.
- 09
Speak up
If something or someone makes you uncomfortable, please talk to an organiser. We take every report seriously and act on patterns of behaviour, not just isolated incidents.
If something happens
Talk to an organiser at the event, or reach out via our contact page. Reports are confidential. We will believe you.
